Teodora Atanasova - cello

Teodora Atanasova was born in Plovdiv in 1993. She graduated “Dobrin Petkov” National School of Music and Dance in Plovdiv – in the cello class of Yulia Markovska. Later she studied with Prof. Anatoli Krastev and Assist. Prof. Atanas Krastev, PhD in “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” National Academy of Music in Sofia. She has also participated in masterclasses held by Claudio Bohórquez, Romain Garioud, Xenia Yankovich, Vladimir Perlin, Denis Severin, Razvan Suma, Alvaro Huertas etc.
Winner of numerous prizes from national and international competitions, Teodora has also been awarded with artistic achievements diplomas by the Ministry of Culture (in 2011 and 2012).
Teodora has performed as a soloist with most of the symphony orchestras in Bulgaria. She is also an active chamber musician. She is a member of Frosch Quartet and also a member of Underground Cello Quartet. Since 2018 she is a principal cellist of New Symphony Orchestra.
Since September 2017, Teodora Atanasova has been teaching cello at “Lyubomir Pipkov” National School of Music, and since February 2018 she is a full-time PhD student at “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” National Academy of Music.
