Viktor Traykov - cello
Viktor Traykov graduated from the Lyubomir Pipkov National School of Music and the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the cello class of Annie Atanasova. She holds a master's degree from New Bulgarian University in the class of Hristo Tanev. He participated in the master classes of Robert Cohen, Christoph Richter, Stefan Popov and others.
He is a laureate of the International Cello Competition "Heran" in Usti nad Orlici, Czech Republic, as well as the competition "Young Musical Talents" in Sofia. He has extensive experience in the field of chamber music, as a member of the Frosch String Quartet he won First Prize in the Austrian Music Competition held in 2012 at the National Academy of Music "Prof. He is a member of the Music Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia.
Since 2013 he has been a member of the piano trio Artes, with which he has given numerous concerts in Bulgaria and abroad.
Co-founder and member of the cello quartet "Underground Cello Quartet", with which he performs regularly on the Bulgarian music scene.
Viktor Traykov is a solo cellist in the chamber orchestra Drop Down Community, with which he performs regularly in Bulgaria and abroad.
He has extensive experience as a solo cellist with the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Classic FM Orchestra, the New Symphony Orchestra, and the international Philharmonie der Nationen (Germany).
Since 2017, he has regularly participated in the concert seasons of the Würth Philharmoniker (Germany), where he has worked with musicians such as Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Julian Rachlin, Misha Maisky, Gautier Capuçon, Nelson Freyr, Mikhail Jurowski, Kent Nagano, and others.
Since 2019, he has been a guest cellist in some of the programmes of The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, working with musicians such as Paavo Järvi, Christian Tetzlaff, Janine Janssen, Alena Baeva, Simone Lamsma, Nicola Benedetti and others.
